anybody on virgin media and its been really bad the past few days or so? 100+ ping. it will keep jumping from 15-20 to 100-1000 :X

and if yu use the telephone/web/sms registration, i maintain all that and if there is any problems, i hav 2 fix them or reply to them guiding them on what to do, but theres 2 systems which do them (ours and our rivals xD) so yu might use ours Smile

nah, its a company that makes election software for councils throughout england wales and northen ireland, 70% of councils use it, i test the programs / updates they do, so in a way its kind of for the goverment so wheres the MONEY!

SGLtv

The wait is almost over and new aspects of SGLtv are being made public ahead of our full launch this autumn. Over 43,000 movies have been viewed via our player with no bandwdith or server issues and it is time to expand the system to include some extra features.

First of all three new channels are being added to the network to cater for people who are more interested in content and movies from other games than Counter Strike 1.6 which has been up until now our staple diet on SGLtv.

Dedicated channels have been added for Call of Duty 4 and Counter Strike Source and perhaps most interestingly a public access channel where SGL members can add their own content for others to view. The first two new channels are pretty much self explanatory and will simply feature movies based around the different game types - the third channel however will take a little more explanation.

The SGLtv network will feature the following channels :

(Please note that the url given for each channel relates to an rss feed to be added to your Adobe Media Player and is not a clickable link for viewing in a web browser)

SGLtv1		http://www.theSGL.com/SGLtv1
Your source for Counter-Strike 1.6 related movies and content. The current library of content will be moved to this channel. Users can request their content be added to this channel for public viewing but cannot add if themselves.

SGLtv2		http://www.theSGL.com/SGLtv2
Call of Duty 4 showreels and movies are featured on this channel. If you wish to add your own content to this channel then we can do so but you will be unable to add it yourself.

The home of Counter-Strike Source movies and related content as with other channels users can request their content be added to this channel for public viewing but cannot add if themselves.

SGLtv4		http://www.theSGL.com/SGLtv4
SGLtv Public Access will allow any registered user of the SGL to be able to upload and publish their own content for others to share. From our point of view this is a great way to show off what community is capable of without resorting to grainy low resolution video hosting websites. On the flip side this is also frought with the danger of users uploading copyrighted, pornographic or offensive material. Users responsible for such material will be removed from our community rapidly. SGLtv Public Access is currently under "ALPHA" testing and will be released as a closed beta to selected users later this year leading to a full release of the system this winter.

Americas army has been around for a hell of a long time and in this time a whole community has grown up around movies dedicated to this classic game.You caan find as many of them as we can get our hands on in this section.

Trackmania Nations Forever with it's inbuilt movie making tools and the frankly massive and fanatic fanbase this free game has gained over recent times it's not surprise that it evenhas it's own dedicated youtube style movie archives. Here we try and find some high res movies for your viewing pleasure.

I'll be frank - there isn't a ahuge amount of Condition Zero tribute and skill movies out there but we will try and find what we can and throw it in here for you to check out.

Users wishing to publish their own work on SGLtv at this time can do so without any trials or tribulations of course. Simply contact Uzi via the website PM system and we will work with you to get your movie published as quickly as possible. A tutorial to produce the best possible .flv encoding in the fastest possible time and the files required to do so can be found on this link.

How to view SGLtv:

#2 Run ADOBE MEDIA PLAYER (AMP)

In the top left hand corner you will see "My Favourites". click this and on the resulting screen you will see at the bottom an icon for "Add RSS" as shown below.

A dialogue box will then pop up prompting you for a URL. Enter one of the feed urls as listed in the channels directory above.

Once you click "ADD" the rather plain looking player is about to leap into life. The SGLtv network logo appears.

Go on, click it, you know you want to..

You will now be faced with the first batch of episodes available on the network. Simply click one to view it.

If you wish to add more than one channel simply follow the steps again using the different url to the appropriate feed. I think you can take it from there. Please note the viewing size option at the end of the timeline. The beta content is of a lower resolution than the future releases as we gauge server load and bandwith usage and as such you will find that the movies are best viewed as "actual size". Future content will be made available in h264 format for the best possible viewing experience.

The content on the player will update automatically every four hours and you can set how many new episodes you want the player to download in the background for you from the options tab. That's about it - any and all ideas ,queries and critique' to the forums please guys - and I hope you enjoy it.
