hey lads,

Think i asked this question before without being specific to the size of monitor i was looking for...

Also, is it worth waiting for a 75htz flat screen ? and do they make much of a difference to 60htz?

appreciate any suggestions Smile

viewsonic vx922 mate there isn't really any other monitor worth looking at given the criteria you specified, they use it at omega sektor in birmingham as their main monitor so it's pretty highly regarded

Yep buddy, i just bought one secound hand for 100 and it's really amazing shot's that i wasnt making on my old screen i'm making now. looks amazing to and the movement of the screen is ace to fit your playing style.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Viewsonic-VX922-19-LCD-Monitor-TFT-Flat-Panel-Mint-2ms_W0QQitemZ300209371539QQihZ020QQcategoryZ174QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

there from ebay. I'm not sure if you can buy it brand new from shops ect these days. Might be wrong tho, anyway this screen is a must buy.

Thats great stuff guys, appreciate it!

Yeah I heard about the viewsonic vx922 before and was looking to buy it new but couldn't find it anywhere, one of the lads had it at lan and it seemed class, no ghosting at all in cs1.6...
going to try to get it from ebay, thanks for the link h!

No worries man. Yep sleek luckly theres not many people who looks for screens on ebay so they tend to go for cheaper than anywhere els. I so please with mine and had it for like 3 weeks.

lucky bugger :p, i sourced mine on the net and got it cheap for £180 then a week later overclockers had a couple in clearence at £90 i was gutted lol.

but still a excellent monitor, i was very dubious about going to tft from crt and i have to say the only real difference is the sensitity change from 100hz to 75hz but that doesn't take long to adjust to!

VX922 is a discontinued monitor meaning its abit dated now, still good but I’d go for the L1953HR

VX922

Contrast Ratio
650:1 (typ.)

Response Time
2ms

L1953HR

Contrast Ratio
2000/1 / 5000/1

Response Time
2ms

Could type more but the gf is moaning at me to go watch saw 4 with her...
