League Playoffs

Just wondering... When is this going to happen? Ive been checking everyday since my last game and its giving me a headache... im sure the SGL staff might have alot on and there may be things going on that i dont understand but from my point of view ... i just wanna PLAY! So whats going on? Can anyone shed any light?

i think it will be after eswc makas, they've got enough on thier hands with eswc, CCL (css), COD4, TF2, SGL summer slam, king of the hill, 1.6 pro leagues. You'd be VERY suprised at how many people do all that work its pretty fucking shocking. Enemydown probably have like 100 people to do that while id take a guess at 6/7/8 admins doin all of that? Thats why people should respect blizzard + uzi a hell of a lot more for what they do.

We are working like crazy here right now but we will get the league tier play offs underway. Tere are two options on how these will be done , either whilst we are away and run remotely with emphasis on the teams to turn up and play with no hassle...

.... or if the rest of the league tier season was anything to go by then it will need us right on top of things to sort out last minute reschedules and generally haphazard attitudes taken by the teams involved. (im nto having a go - this is just "how it has been"

for the record and to give you some idea of our current schedule :

Next week the entire SGL admin staff are going to Omega Sektor to run the CGS event there.

Immediatly afterwards , myself , blizz and sybo head off to Dubai to run the ESWC UAE finals , heading back for three days rest before the ESWCUK / Summer SLAM event.

The weekend after that Blizz and I fly out to holland to run the TLR/WZZRD lan

things do start to slow down a little after that (though we are always open to staffing those high profile events) and its august before i fly out to California for the ESWC grand finals.

The logical time to fit in the league tier play offs will be just after the TLR event. As soon as we know exactly, we will let you guys know too

It sounds to me like you're looking for sympathy vote because you get to fly out to all these great places and do something you actually like doing. :p

(no not CGS, Birmingham IS half foreign as in the people but its still in England)

they combined the uk and eu events into one big one now. gonna be interesting for sure.

only reason i listed the evetns im doing is because no one really knows what we get up behind the scenes ad when it goes a bit queit over the next few weeks i dont want anyone thinking we have just lost interest or something,

what youll get is me 6 hours ahead in dubai finishing a day and nights work , coming back and startng work on the SGL 8pm uk time 2am dubai time.... gonna be a punishing schedule.

last time i ws out ther eit hit 50C and 45% humidity. For the record, if you want to experience this level of heat, half boil the kettle then pour it over your head , thats what it is like. very tiring for fat/old gits like me.

last time i ws there in sept, sure it was 6 hours, maybe im mistaken on the time difference, still end up staying up all night either way lol
