Dignitas pwned the arse out of Blacksun in the last King of the Hill challenge match, I think that's a fair comment after the waves of death handed out each round by the incumbent champions and certainly isn't a dig a the second challengers to the title who were always going to have an uphill steep (vertical?) task if they were going to get anything out of the tie.

Now I'm sure we all wish the guys the best of luck as they head out to Moscow later this week for Kode5. The next King of the Hill match will be on Monday 19th May as due to several reasons (Dignitas in Russia, core SGL admin team at CGS and then off to Dubai) we are forced to skip a week of the King of the Hill rotation.

So, who are the teams lining up and fluttering their eyes at you for your vote? The first fiteen teams to register and be included in the King of the HIll III vote are  :

uk Sisters Of Mercy uk Flattering to Deceive
uk immolate uk cZar
uk locked uk octane.eSport
uk TooBaD uk sexytime
uk Catalyst.cs uk Four-Kings
uk vitalsigns uk FLAVOUR
uk Europe Chinese Group uk highfive
uk kkpal
Teams in bold  were the top received votes from the last public
vote and remain in the public vote for this round.

SOM, FTD, IMM and CZAR all remain in the vote courtesy of being the top four voted teams from the last round
. FTD look set to miss out again (as do everyone else) with the inclusion of Four Kings in this set of teams. Obviously it would be a shock if the anticipated 4k vs Dig match wasn't the one the community wanted to see but with Highfive also joining the vote this time around they will be wanting to make sure they don't get overlooked and drop out of the vote after only one week so gaining those votes to stay in until the next community vote is vital to their chances....

Finally King of the Hill is a rolling application event which means if, as and when you are beaten or eliminated from the vote you can sign up again and await your turn to face the public vote. Remember applications for the event are open all the time so you can sign up whenever you want - all you need is a roster of five players when the spotlight is on you and it's voting time. Teams with les than five players go back to the bottom of the pile without facing the public vote.

Don't miss the next thrilling installment of King of the Hill coming soon -  and don't forget to vote!
Stay tuned for regular updates and don't forget to re-register after you have been knocked out or eliminated from the public vote...

King of the Hill is the only bi weekly cash prize event for Counter Strike 1.6 and is presented by SteelSeries and brought to you exclusively in the United Kingdom only here on theSGL.com.

Buus doing SGLPRO1 again this week!

vs
Czar lost out last week in a close-fought encounter with bitter rivals Coda and their only win this season comes against a lacklustre eom side. Acuity started with a loss to catalyst but look re-vitalised as they embarrassed iym on nuke the other week. There could be very little to choose between these 2 teams and the map will all but decide the outcome. Whoever can grab the first pistol and dictate the money on D2 should be looking to take it, barring a stunning individual performance from the other side. Im going to stick my neck out and go for a draw because, well- it’ll look really good if it turns out to be correct!

Czar 15-15 Acuity

Player to watch: Punt- back in action and looking to drop bombs!

vs

Coda look to be going from strength to strength. They have taken advantage of our recent yet protracted demise  and picked up power house Kalleh- giving them ever more fragging potential. Their only loss this season comes vs. TCM and I think they should prove to be too hot to handle for Icelandic wildcard catalyst. Catalyst started out brightly beating acuity but got schooled last week by TCM showing them that the UK scene is not to be trifled with. Coda to take it relatively comfortably.

Coda 16-5 Catalyst

Player to watch: Kalleh, he hates D2 but just watch him go!

vs

Iym’s  only points come from a default and they have suffered 2 losses to eom and acuity. They’ll be looking to turn it all around soon but I don’t see it happening tonight. Tcm are living up to their expectations as one of the favourites to take the division  and haven’t really looked stretched by any of the teams they have played- winning all their games fairly easily. I would expect nothing different tonight unless IYM can grab T side first and roll up the money advantage. Otherwise- TCM to dominate.

TCM 16-3 IYM

Player to Watch: Talz, recently voted wi3 MVP so can’t be all bad!

So were now into week four, meaning were now half way through the season! The map now moves onto the ever popular de_dust2, where everyone is bound to have their own tactics. With this in mind there is an ever likely chance of a major upset this week.

Last week though is what you want to know about first though, so here we go:

With Faction folding in this tournament meaning X3 took the default last week. The locked against Satisfied match was postponed to the 30th, so as to ensure both teams have players on, means they’ll be missing the second leg of the champions league though!

That leaves two games that were played. The first being Vitalsigns against Meyex, where meyex took a convincing 16-6 win. Unfortunately sybo has been slacking with putting the skilltracker stats up, so as a result I can’t tell you what happened. :( The outcome was predicted by Buu last week, but even with his vast knowledge of CS, he couldn’t see meyex taking such a large scoreline.

The other game that was played saw Flattering to Deceive beat IntoTheGame 16-6. Seems a popular scoreline for last week! Skilltracker stats were available for this, and Waarren_9 took player of the game with 2739 points and winning the playmaker award. Vuvux was the worst gaining a measly 670 points! FTD were expect to win by more, but who cares it looks closer this way!

This leaves the table with FTD at the top on 9 points and with a round difference of +29. Satisifed also have exactly the same round difference and points. With faction dropping out after moving to meyex, X3 and intothegame share bottom spot on 3 points. X3 have the worse round difference though with –28.

vs

Meyex get a week off this week after they face their former selves. Faction moved to meyex, so they can no longer play as there is no roster on their team. Easy result to predict I think.

vs

The bottom two teams take on each other, with both teams looking to get a win that isn’t default under their belts. The match may well be moved judging by the match comments, but I haven’t heard anything about it being moved by anyone in the hierarchy, so presumably its still being played. Both teams have taken massive a battering to FTD in recent weeks, so confidence in their own ability may be lower than we would have hoped. Even so with them both knowing they need a win this week to remain in the running for money they shall both be out to bring the match to a very close finish. In my opinion this should be match of the week! IntoTheGame to win 16-12 with SpaZijaX player to watch.

vs

Next up is Vitalsigns against Satisfied. Vitalsigns have so far not gone out of their way to prove my initial predictions for their placing this season wrong. (despite their rage at me for writing it…) That was capped off with a 16-6 loss last week to Meyex. Satisfied have so far only played 2 of their games, but both were convincing results in their favour. It puts them second in the table due to the default they gained against Faction. They still seem to be pushing for the money, and they are one of 3 clans that I feel can still win it. With this in mind Satisfied will go full out to stop vitalsigns gaining any advantage over them!

Satisfied to win 16- 7 with BRANDON___      player to watch.

vs
Still nothing for locked im afraid :( Blame Uzi! :D

The last game Flattering to decive against locked has been moved to the 18th of May, so I’ll leave that match out of this for now.

SteelSeries King of the Hill : Match preview

Posted by sgl Uzi on 28th Apr 2008 @ 12:25pm - 22 Comments

Previously on King of the Hill, TLR (now of course Dignitas) beat off a challenge from #team-Coolermaster to take the opening fixture in the event. Bouncing back from that defeat comes Zak to give his thoughts on the fixture and more generally about the scene itself. Cue the Parkinson theme tune.....

no zaK : hey mr Uzi

sgl Uzi : Morning mr Zak

sgl I know you guys gave a good account of yourselves in the last round and that you're a team in the true sense of the word (playing together and practising as much as anyone else in the community). Dignitas are another team that put in the same amount of effort and get to reap the rewards. Will the collection of individual talent on show tonight from Blacksun be able to make any holes in Dignitas do you think ?

no I don't think that's going to happen no, to get close to beating Dignitas you either have to be much better skilled than them, which in my opinion Blacksun are not, or as organised as they are, again which Blacksun are not. I can't see them doing too well unless one of them goes sick.

sgl abdo says as much in his interview with tinker, do you think the community got starstruck seeing the possible players Blacksun could field in the match ?- there's names there that people would like to see playing in match like this.

no I think that all the "old school" players who have stopped playing or moved to CSS voted for Blacksun to try and show that the UK scene is poor now compared to when they played, whilst most of the current people playing voted for either FtD or one of the other teams. As the latest poll shows, most people expect Dignitas to win 2-0, and those that voted for Blacksun to win are probably the people who voted for them to play this game.

Personally I would have preferred to see FtD play tonight, I think they're a really good team when they play well and it would of been nice for them to get to play tonight instead of a mix of big names. Hopefully they'll get their chance next week.

sgl FTD do look like it's going to be their turn next time but I guess a lot depends on which teams join the vote. I cant remember if 4k are in the next batch or the one after that, I'm sure that would would be a popular vote

no Yeh, hopefully 4k aren't in the next one as I'd like to see both FtD and 4k playing as we haven't seen much from 4k since their lineup change.

sgl They are in the next round of voting, should we just announce the match now and have done with it lol? i cant see anyone else getting the votes there.

no I can probably seeing 4k getting the majority of the votes, but FtD have a lot of fans in theSGL community so it could be closer than people think.

sgl According to my calculations we could see a FtD vs 4kings match as Dignitas will be away in Moscow contesting the Kode5 finals. Typical isn't it - once again we miss out on the chance of a 4k vs Dignitas tie.

no Well, I think that 4k vs Ftd would be a better match anyway, it'd probably be much closer than Dignitas vs FtD/4k would be, and it'll still give us a big of insight into how the new 4k lineup is doing, everyone wins.

Maybe as Dignitas didn't actually lose they could play the winner of that the week after?

sgl I'll have to look into that, King of the Hill runs on a very specific schedule.....

No maps have been chosen by either team at this time, I suppose there will be plenty of people who think the map choice wont matter anyway - you took them on on nuke and inferno do you think there might be a map that would suit Blacksun better than any other?

If it was me I think I would try and get special leave to play Prodigy or something like that, keep them closed in as much as possible haha. Less room for them to run around showing off.

no I'd say train is pretty hard as a mix as it needs lots of communication else you get shot in the side all the time, so that would be one for Blacksun to avoid in my opinion. Dust2 is always seen as a map for mix teams, so I guess that will probably be their best shot. I think Dignitas will be eliminating Dust2 though so maybe cpl_mill will be their best option as it's a not so practised map.

sgl Looking forward to ESWC ? We announce the teams and suchlike in three (maybe four) days time.

no Yes I'm really looking forward to ESWC. It should be a really good event - I expect to see most SGL prem/invite teams there, and there are rumours of a few old school mixes going so there should be some interesting games. The fact that it's running in parallel with the summer slam event means there will be even more people there, and unlike any other non-BYOC LAN you get a computer for the whole weekend, so it should be a great event.

sgl I'm expecting to see the same team names cropping up again there as likely candidates to go to California. Yourselves, Dignitas, 4kings.

no Yeh, excluding any old school mixes that might attend, I don't really see anyone else with a chance of going apart from the three that you mentioned, possibly immolate if they hardcore it.. they've got some pretty good players too.

sgl Should be a tough fight for all involved but I do know someone who is definitely going already. Whoever wins it will have me keeping an eye on them in the USA in August. (about time all this adminning paid off lol)

no Yeh, the UK scene owes you and theSGL a lot for all the events you've run over the years.

sgl Nah, it's all about the players. It always surprises me when a custom map becomes available for use - like Tuscan in ESWC, that more teams don't give it some serious practice to give themselves an advantage, the custom map often ends up being 3rd map in the pool and could make a real difference.

no I think although a lot of people whine that the current main 5 maps has become boring, they don't actually want to put the time in to practice and learn new maps. Another reason for this is that it's much harder to find practice games, especially good ones, on non-standard maps unless that map is being used for the week in ESL or something like that. Is tuscan going to be in the map pool at ESWC UK?

sgl Yes its part of the five maps. Obviously mill is a cpl map so they have to go a slightly different way with Tuscan which you know is basically the same map. Still - funny to see people run round corners into a brick wall that isn't there on mill.

no k, personally I don't think I've ever played tuscan, not even had a run around it, so with that news I think I'll be downloading it tonight

sgl Back to tonight though, along with plenty of others I'm hoping things wont be over too quickly but it's hard to find any reasons why it wont be.

no Like I said before, I can't see Blacksun getting anywhere unless someone goes sick. Personally I hope Blacksun don't win, as it will inflate some of their oversized ego's even more, and if they lose all we'll hear is "We're a mix and we play CSS  now.".

sgl There was a long period where all the real events belonged to 4kings. You wouldn't see them in the UK scene but they mopped up all the events that had a decent payday or qualification for a bigger event - there are plenty of people who would say that stifled the UK scene and could have hindered its development leaving us so far behind the European teams.

Do we have the same problem again now with this elite Dignitas team, if you think its a problem at all of course and even if it is, is it too late in the life of CS for it to really matter any more?

no I think that any team that's at the top of the scene wants to remain there, so it's understandable that they aren't going to help the teams below them improve, so yes I'd say 4k could of done more to help the UK scene. I know a while back I was banned from some invite channels that I'd been in for a while because a top UK team told them to ban me, even though I'd been in there longer than them (not 4k), so yes I'd say they have hindered the UK scene a bit. As for the life of CS, it's apparently been dying for 2 years, yet we still have ESWC, Kode5 and WCG qualifiers to fight for, plus all the UK LANs, I don't really think there's time left for a UK scene to become top10 in the world, but while there are still these qualifiers to play for if you're enjoying it why not ey?

sgl controversey corner. CS is an old game but as you say it is still the choice of the big events. we hear that CSS is replacing it every other day but it never happens. with CSS itself having been around so long without making inroads into the world stage (CGS aside of course) do you think that maybe CSS has missed the boat and just isn't ever going to make it big.

from an outsiders point of view cod4 looks like it could step up and steal it. I know to many players CoD4 seems to be a more natural step up from 1.6 than css is

no I don't think that CSS will ever be the game at WCG, ESWC etc unless something major happens, I can see CS being replaced by another game, probably Cod4 when CS is eventually removed from these big competitions and "dies". Personally when that happens, if I'm still playing, I think it will be time for me to quit and I won't be moving on to CSS or any other game seriously.

sgl All too common a sentiment sadly.  Any shout outs before we sign off ?

no Oh yeah - shoutout to the pie, the TCM management and our sponsors coolermaster, multiplay and bouncer4you."

SteelSeries King of the Hill : Team Talk

Posted by sgl Uzi on 28th Apr 2008 @ 8:45am - 10 Comments

Can Blacksun make the match as tight as the community vote on who was going to face off with the newly homed Dignitas (ne TLR) ? With only two votes from over 2,500 cast separating the guys from nearest rivals FTD it was a close run thing who would challenging for the King of the Hill this time.

With a roster full of "household" names could it be a possiblity that Dignitas could be stretched further this week that last? Could some of the big name players on show tonight turn things around? Tinker caught up with Blacksun's Abdo to find out...

sgl Tinker : HI THERE!!! - For those unaware of you and your team - fill us in with the details!

vc Abdo : Hello? Our team's Blacksun, basically mtL and Kanickit's old clan resurrected. It's an old name, but that's all that's the same as before. Totally different players apart from those two. Pretty much just a gang of friends really.

sgl So - give us a run down of the teams current line up and what each of them bring to the team...

vc Ok, hard to take this seriously cos we don't really play that much as a team. Current lineup is me, mtL, Kanickit and then whoever else is around out of LukeM, KritikaL, wizlo, mx, frankie etc. I think those are the only ones that have actually played sgl matches. In terms of skill...we got me strugglin' with pretty much every aspect of the game, maybe makin' one or two nice little technical headshots. Then we got mtL thinkin' he's bad with the snipe, runnin' around picking people off here and there. Nick is probably the best of the three of us (LOL NICK). Not really, he aims like he's got a certain disease that makes your limbs uncontrollable.
Everyone else is just standardly good.

sgl lol, - this upcoming Monday - you guys take on last weeks winners TLR....in all honesty how do you fancy your chances of taking the KOTH crown off of them?

vc  You makin' a joke outta me? Nah, we will probably struggle. Depends what team we play of course, but even if we just got all our mercs to play for us it'd be really tough. TLR actually got pretty darndamnit good now and they practice like a gladiator. Except for that Arshad Snr. guy. Dunno who he is but he just don't belong.

sgl How are you guys preparing yourselves for the upcoming game?

vc This is a fantastic question. Unfortunately our preparation hasn't been quite up to scratch. A couple of the boys have been on vacation on the South Coast so we haven't really had the opportunity to play that much.  The great thing is though that we all play for each other, there are no superstars and we have a strong team spirit.  We all know it's a bit game and we relish that.  LukeM has done brilliant for us this season.

sgl Even though previously you mentioned this could be a struggle - IF this is a win and you get to stay in - how far do you think you guys will go in the overall tournament, and who are one of the teams you think will be your toughtest opponents if they were to come into KOTH?

vc OK! Well if we beat TLR, that's the 'big dogs' out of it isn't it. I'd fancy us to beat a couple more teams after that then probably lose to someone silly. Depends who gets voted in I suppose. One sec, I'm trying to find a clan with a cool name to big up, here we go. BWAV. Bwav me up tinker. Wait a minute, they have 26 players. I think this is a guild, my mistake.

sgl KOTH aside for a moment, the next step from here? Are there any upcoming events, lans or plans in which the clan are doing/taking part in?

vc Hey, if this interview gets lots of hits, can I do an interview every week about my day to day life?  The next step for us would probably be to go to a LAN that only takes about an hour to play out. I think this is the future. No one really likes LANs that much do they? We'll probably enter the ESWC qualifier thing as well - if it's free.

sgl No :D? Going back to KOTH - Any fighting talk to throw over to your opponents?

vc I'm not really a 'hurl abuse' sorta guy.  They all pretty stupid though.

sgl Thanks for taking time out for this, best of luck. Finally, any shout outs :D?

vc I'd like to give the shoutiest of shout outs to a one John Arnold Riise for being a real cool guy.  Also, Don Rickles, who is a very funny man. If I should have mentioned someone and I forgot, then that means I don't like you. Finally, check this out, it's a nice goal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Gu2lD9E89s

Abdo was talking to Tinker. King of the Hill starts at 8pm tonight and will be live on HLTV for your viewing pleasure. King of the Hill is the bi-weekly £100 cash prize event , presented by SteelSeries and hosted exclusively in the UK here on theSGL.

Online Heroes : Curse of the Aztecs

Posted by sgl Uzi on 24th Apr 2008 @ 9:34pm - 7 Comments

So what was the curse of the Aztecs? They couldn't get out of the bloody double doors that's what it was. One guy with a musket held them at bay all day long while the Spanish conquistadores plundered all the gold. At least that's what used to happen.

Eventually the natives devised a cunning plan based around rushing really fast and throwing lots of grenades at the enemy in an attempt to get out of the doors dead sharpish, Sadly this didn't work either and we ended up with many a stand off as they stared at each other across a small rope bridge.

This Sunday from 8pm it's time to see whether the years of practice and the alleged improved tactics can make a dent in what was one of the most impregnable maps of all time. Rush double doors, eat nade, fall over and die - rinse and repeat. That's certainly the sort of of outcome seen in many rounds over the years.

Some of you of course may feel you are more sophisticated than that  and will care to employ some revolutionary or unexpected tactics (delayed rush?!?! omg! just imagine... wait five mins THEN get blown up.) and there were certainly not many Aztec matches played with SGLac enabling the confident use of smoke to aid in your entry into the Ct half of the map. times may have changed...

So just to see what would happen if modern players and tactics clashed on an ancient map we present the Online Heroes curse of the Aztecs edition. Sunday from 8pm on theSGL sixteen teams running around the ruins just like they did five years ago. All that remains is to have fun !

King of the HIll : the community has spoken

Posted by sgl Uzi on 23rd Apr 2008 @ 9:33am - 14 Comments

Over the last seven days we have seen votes numbering into the thousands placed on the poll which saw fifteen teams hoping to play in the next round of King of the Hill. Ultimately this turned into a two horse race bewteen perennial "close but no cigar" FTD and the "what team will they field" Blacksun. The latter of the two teams eventually came out on top by just two votes after running neck and neck all week. This means of course that the match you will get to see will be of course : TLR vs Blacksun.

AS FirstUK have now sadly folded the four teams returning to face the vote next time around will be : Sisters of Mercy, Flattering To Deceive, cZar and immolate. They will be joined by the eleven teams in the waiting list.

Keep an eye out for the build up to this match where there will be more info on this upcoming tie. Will the Blacksun all stars (if it is the going to be the hall of famers taking part at all....) have the minerals to take down the famous five of TLR or will they be crushed along with all who dare resist the current darlings of the UK scene?

Keep your eyes peeled for the interview, the team talk, the match preview and most of all the action itself as King of the Hill storms into round two almost before the blood has been wiped from the walls after the last firefight.....

SGLPro 1 : matchnight three previews

Last week we saw cZar beat Engine on mute in a nice thrilling 16-11 match, the opposite of what Buu was predicting would happen. RobuLuS was trying his hardest to keep his team going and play for the win, but his team ultimately failed, obviously. He managed to win the carrier bag award in the skilltracker and was the best player on the server by far.

Team-coolermaster managed beat Coda 16-8. Buu last week managed to predict the correct outcome and wasn’t far off for the scoreline either. ZaK was the best player on the server for the night, raking in 2599 points and getting the dirty fragstealer award. The worst player being dajo from coda with 1188 points.

With Catalyst getting a bye last week, the last match was a 16-8 win to team acuity against inyourmind. Buu predicted a 16-10 win to the same team, which was pretty damn close! LovinJZ was best according to the stats, when he picked up 2260 points and the playmaker award. Coldasice however was the worst player scoring just 1167 points.

So after last week we see team coolermaster at the top of the table on 6 points. This is despite the fact they have only played 1 game so far. The other 3 points they have gained are thanks to the missing team from SGLPRO1, where everyone has now been awarded a default. That means they potentially have a game in hand thanks to their first game of the season being postponed. Team acuity fall just behind them having won 1 and lost 1. Inyourmind sit bottom having lost both games they’ve played so far. They need to start turning things around soon if they want any chance of catching the cash!

vs

Coda played their first game last week after their bye in the first week. They lost it, so currently sit just above Inyourmind based on the fact they have a game in hand over them. Their opponents this week, cZar, are in a similar boat, whereby they have only played one game this season. They had their first game postponed. They however managed one better than code and won their game, which puts them joint top. With cZars experience I would of said this would be an easy win, but Coda need to get he ball running and won’t be push overs!

cZar to win 16-11, player to watch Evil ScotsmaN

vs

Team acuity and Engine on mute are both evenly matched so far this season, both taking a win and a loss each and having the same round difference of +6. If you go by this the game should be the best in SGLPRO1 this week. Engine on mute were well beaten last week, despite Robulus best efforts and he will no doubt be trying his hardest again this week to add yet more points to the Engine on Mute machine. Once the ball starts rolling I can see them getting a lot of rounds and just holding out.

Team Acuity will be up for this game having beaten Jogon on this map back in season Eight with very little effort. They beat inyourmind last week to record their first set of points for the season so far. Maybe the engine will still be running here and they will just drive on through to the next fixture with a win under their belts here. Will be interesting to see the outcome, but personally I think it will be 16-8 to Engine on mute with Robulus being the player to watch this week.

vs

The last 2 teams playing this week are Team Coolermaster and Catalyst gaming. Team Coolermaster played in last weeks King of the Hill and gave a good fight all the way to the end against TLR, but unfortunately lost 2-0 on maps. Still on that basis they should be up for this game even more so. After losing that match they made an instant come back by easily going past Coda in their SGLPRO game, so they know how to put a loss behind them and carry on as normal in their quest to get their hands on this cash.

Catalyst gaming have only played 1 game this season so far, but they beat Acuity in the first week for them points. The other game they played was a default due to their not being a team their to actually play the game. Catalyst are yet to make their mark on thesgl, other than that first week result, so will be looking to put themselves top of the table this week with a decent win. Whether that happens on not though is another question. My answer is that it won’t happen and TCM will record an easy 16-5 win. I also reckon tALz will make a comeback from his mare of a game last week in SGLPRO and play his heart out this week, to b the player to watch.

Buu does this weeks predictions......

vs

X3 look very much like a fish out of water in the pro-league, losing their first 2 games 16-2. Still can’t fault them for consistency! Whilst I am sure they’re putting forth every effort to end this miserable streak I don’t see it happening this week. Faction lost their first game to Ftd and got off the mark drawing with vital last week- form that obviously makes them favourites for this match. I really have to predict 16-2, 3 weeks in a row would be a real treat. Anything more than that and at least x3 can consider it an improvement.

Faction 16-2 X3

Player to watch: Zikje, topped the skill trackers for the last 2 weeks for faction. Must be doing something right.

vs
Assuming this is being played it’s probably the match of the evening for Pro 2. Vital have only played 1 match so far- drawing with faction and I always get the impression they don’t practice too hard/take their cs too seriously. They’ve been around long enough to know what it’s all about and just turn up and enjoy it. Meyex have recently re-vamped their roster and it is seemingly bringing results as they have pulled off 2 comfortable wins to get their campaign off to a great start. This one could be too close to call and whoever manages to win knives and grab ct first could decid e the match if they start rolling up the rounds. Assuming Meyex have practiced a little more, I reckon they’ll narrowly take it. (Please don’t hate me Irish)

Meyex 16-12 Vital

Player to watch: Unda- awp, train etc.

vs
Ftd have started brightly, taking 2 wins and tearing up the division like everyone knew they would. Supernatural on the other hand are among the division’s stragglers and just look like they are going to be totally out-classed tonight. I guess their only real hope is to win knives and hope to win ct pistol and gun round, otherwise there could be another embarrassing for them.

FtD 16-3 Supernatural

Player to watch: Fluid- does a very under-stated job allowing his team-mates to steal most of the limelight, but from what I’ve seen a very solid and consistent player (contrary to his name) and will get the job done.

vs
I guess the most accurate prediction I could make here is that before the game starts the match page will be filled with abuse- much like every other locked fixture- from kids on both sides who’s insecure egos are so tied to playing CS that they feel the need to belittle everyone else that plays it in order to make themselves feel good. Psychology aside, this could be another cracking match. Locked, love them or hate them, are obviously here for the foreseeable future and frankly the more active UK cs teams the better. Their first game was postponed and they succumbed to a relatively strong meyex performance last week. I expect them to practice fairly hard for this one in an attempt to get some points on board but they face a hardened satisfied squad who have only dropped 3 rounds from 2 games. (Admittedly against weak opposition). Satisfied should hopefully realise that locked will prove tougher opponents than they faced in the first 2 weeks and give us an exciting match to watch from the neutral perspective. I reckon satisfied’s experience and individual talent could carry them through here- just.

Satisfied 16-13 Locked
Player to Watch: insane- another capable awper who will be looking to hit form.

Once again we turn to you - the community to decide who will challenge for the title of King of the HIll and take on the current champions uk TLR.CS who took the opening match in this event with their victory over uk #team-Coolermaster on Monday night. The five teams who gained the most votes in the last round of voting remain in the public vote for this round and are joined by ten more hopefuls all eager to take on the challenge and topple the champs from their lofty perch and pick up a cool £100 in the process.

So, who are the teams lining up and fluttering their eyes at you for your vote? The first fiteen teams to register and be included in the King of the HIll II vote are  :

uk Sisters Of Mercy fr Flattering to Deceive
br First. uk yu cZar
en immolate uk Never Ending Pain
en denied eu satisfied!
en Heartless Gaming corn versatile ~
corn blacksun uk Instinct
eu BwAv.co.uk uk defunct.
uk The Nutty Turds
Teams in bold  were top five received votes from the last public
vote and remain in the public vote for this round.

Remember only one team will qualify from this vote and will take on
uk TLR.CS on Monday the 28th of April. "Peoples favourite" FTD have shot into an early lead in the vote pursued closely by Blacksun who it would seem are picking up votes based on their roster which includes some amazing players - but will they actually play or will you see the less well known players from their roster competing here. Season Eight play off champions Immolate and the rebranded cZar teams are picking up their fair share of the vote as well.

If you wanted a favour from these teams, be it PCW's, idling your channel or perhaps coming round to do your dishes then now is the time to ask them as they should be hungry for your vote. Make it count !

Don't miss the next thrilling installment of King of the Hill comign soon -  and don't forget to vote!
