SGLPro Series : Go hard or go home.

Posted by sgl Uzi on 23rd Mar 2008 @ 3:00pm
Here we are then with the divisional release of the SGLPro Series. The teams will not come as a shock to the involved players as we consulted with all teams to let them know who they were going to be facing as we did not wish any teams to go into this event "blind". AS you may remember, we set out to offer an eight team single division as a test bed for future P2P style tournaments, with the number of teams applied to the event reaching fifty we felt it would be just as well to offer twice the number of places whilst still attempting to keep the perceived skill set level across each division.

SGLPro One : Tuesdays from 8pm

uk First. uk
uk team acuity
uk jog on
uk highfive
yu strOng~
is celphtitled
uk inyourmind
uk #team-Coolermaster

With jog on already in the Season Nine Invite league and team acuity looking to secure their place by way of the play off's there is a familiar feel to the line up. Added to the faces you already know are some you possibly do not as Icelandic outfit celphtitled look to join in the action. Something of an unknown quantity we have checked in with them and after giving it thought we feel they will be a fine addition to the event. The remaining teams of First. uk, highfive, str0ng, inyourmind and Season Seven champions #team-Coolermaster really need no further introduction as the current stalwarts of the UK CS community.

SGLPro Two : Tuesdays from 9pm

eu -x3-
uk Faction
uk Gaming Dimension Online
en IntoTheGame
uk MEYEX.co.uk
nir NETTO-WARRIORS
yu TEAM-DECERTO.co.uk
mh Flattering to Deceive

In stark contrast to SGLPro One and it's familiar field of adversaries SGLPro Two finds itself with a much greater diversity of teams drawn from several different levels but united by the same belief that they can all come out on top. From the SteelSeries Premiership we find MEYEX.co.uk  and Flattering to Deceive and who will possibly be seen as favourites to do well against the Championship Tier teams of TEAM DECERTO, -x3-, and Faction all of whom could well be gracing the Premiership next season and the League Tier teams of Gaming Dimension Online, Into the Game and NETTO-WARRIORS who  are all still mid season and frankly throw up a mixed bag of fortunes so far.

The opening fixtures can be found in the  Tournament Overview section along with the usual league tables,  en Skill Tracker, results, rules and FAQ. Matches begin on Tuesday 1st April from 8pm where the SGLPro One teams kick off the event followed up by the SGLPro Two teams an hour later at 9pm.

As stated in previous posts on this subject you can expect to see a new revision of en SGLac over the next few days, and that we have put in place systems to pick up ringers with ease. As all the teams in this event are aware - there is zero tolerance on every aspect of the rules. Full match previews will be on offer each and every week for each and every match. We look forward with great anticipation to what we expect to be a thoroughly enjoyable league season topped off with the excitement of the title playoff's directly after!

Payments must be made no later than Thursday 27th March via paypal. Simply cick the image to the left to be taken to the Paypal website. #27 | bm Bruceh | Posted on 24/03/08 6:53pm
fajja you told us (all be it 2 months ago) only 5/6 of you actually played? you said the rest were just there for show and you refused to use them even if you only had 4.
