As the saying goes - due to popular demand we have opened up registration for a more "general" European Counter-Strike 1.6 league season. Obviously we have a mass of interest from both Iceland and Belgium but others have come forward asking why they don't have a chance of getting in.With this in mind we have thrown it open for general applications and we will see what sort of response we encounter.

All teams will be required to have a minimum of five players on their roster - so for some of you who have registered a team with the intention of playing but have not got around to adding players to your roster - the time to do so is now.

We look forward to providing an  Invite and Premiership tier with eight teams in each and then depending entirely on the demand we will be seeking to host a Championship tier.

Promotion and relegation details will be announced as soon as we know exactly how many teams we are dealing with though for the Invite tier the top four teams will take part in a best of three play off to decide the overall season ten champion. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the Premiership tier.

The Premiership champions will be promoted to the Invite tier for the following season and the teams in the next four places (2nd - 5th) will be entered into a play off of which the winners will  take the second promotion spot. Typically the bottom three teams will be relegated,.

A typical championship division would feature two divisions of ten teams with the champions of each division being promoted and the teams finishing in the next four places (2nd - 5th) being entered into an end of season play off to take the third promotion slot to the premiership.

With the inclusion of other countries besides our core UK league season we will be introducing an "international" tournament to bring together the best of all the competing countries here in theSGL CS1.6 arena.

It is our intention to schedule matches for Sunday of each week.
