Loks opnum við fyrir lið frá Íslandi og bjóðum við ykkur velkomin í deild fyrir Counter-Strike 1,6 hér á theSGL síðunni. Við bjóðum öllum íslenskum liðum að sækja um í þessa keppni þar sem þeim verður skipt í deildir með hjálp stjórnenda þessarar deildar.

Öll lið verða að hafa skráða að minnsta kosti fimm leikmenn - svo fyrir ykkur sem hafa skráð liðið ykkar en eigið eftir að bæta við leikmönnunum þá þurfið þið að gera það strax.

Okkur hlakkar til að stofna Invite og Premiership deild sem inniheldur átta lið í hvorum þeirra. Ef það skapast næg þátttaka verður kannski bætt við Championship deild.

Skiptingin á deildunum mun ráðast um leið og við vitum hversu mörg lið ætla að taka þátt. Til að hafa þetta áhugavert munu fjögur efstu liðin í Invite deildinni berjast um meistarasætið í "best of three" fyrirkomulagi, sá sem sigrar verður krýndur sigurvegari keppninnar. Neðstu tvö liðin munu svo detta niður í Premiership deildina.

Sigurvegarar Premiership deildarinnar munu svo komast upp í Invite deildina og liðin í 2-5.sæti munu taka þátt í undanúrslitum þar sem sigurvegarinn fær hitt lausa sætið um að komast upp um deild.

Með þáttöku annarra landa munum við svo tilkynna alþjóðlega keppni þar sem bestu liðin úr löndunum sem taka þátt í CS1,6.

Við munum líklegast hafa leikina vikulega á sunnudögum.

Opening up our borders to teams from Iceland we welcome you all to a season of Counter-Strike 1.6 here on theSGL. We are inviting applications from all teams into this one event which will then be seeded into divisions by a dedicated admin for this area.

All teams will be required to have a minimum of five players on their roster - so for some of you who have registered a team with the intention of playing but have not got around to adding players to your roster - the time to do so is now.

We look forward to providing an  Invite and Premiership tier with eight teams in each and then depending entirely on the demand we will be seeking to host a Championship tier.

Promotion and relegation details will be announced as soon as we know exactly how many teams we are dealing with though for the Invite tier the top four teams will take part in a best of three play off to decide the overall season ten champion. The bottom two teams will be relegated to the Premiership tier.

The Premiership champions will be promoted to the Invite tier for the following season and the teams in the next four places (2nd - 5th) will be entered into a play off of which the winners will  take the second promotion spot.

With the inclusion of other countries besides our core UK league season we will be introducing an "international" tournament to bring together the best of all the competing countries here in theSGL CS1.6 arena.

It is our intention to schedule matches for Sunday of each week.
