ESWC UK 2008 ONLINE QUALIFIER


Welcome to the Electronic Sports World Cup 2008 United Kingdom on line qualifier event here on theSGL. Over the coming weeks we intend to put the applied Counter Strike 1.6 teams through their paces as they fight it out for qualification to the UK finals where the qualified teams will face off at the Omega Sektor over the weekend of 7th to 8th June for the opportunity to represent the United Kindgom at the Electronic Sports World Cup Grand Finals which are being held in San Jose, Calafornia, USA. Make no mistake - one of the teams who take part in this event will be attending the NVISION08 event which plays host to the grand finals this year - but who will it be?

Ok, just what do you need to do to take part in this event? You need to complete the following steps to particpate in the online qualifying section for this event. Please remember if you do not take part in the qualifier you will not be able to compete in the UK finals - as they say "You've got to be in it to win it"....

If you have already got this far in the registration process without viewing the ESWC.co.uk website then now is the time to do so - particularly the registration section and regulations (especially on team elibility).

PLEASE READ AND NOTE THE FOLLOWING :

  • Every player must be registered on the ESWC.com website. If you are not registered you will be unable to take part.  REGISTER NOW.
  • Ensure you have read and understood the rules and regulations for this event especially the team eligibility requirements.
  • This is a premium event and an entry fee applies for each player. Please read the registration and payment section on ESWC.co.uk.
  • When you send your paypal payment you MUST include your SGL account number. To get your SGL account number simply go to your profile page and then look at the url of the page. The numbers at the end of the url are your account number. - for example Uzi : url = http://www.thesgl.com/user/5/ means the account number is "5".
This event will be run as a group stage tournament. The size and number of the groups will depend entirely on the number of teams who register to take part. Applications for this event will remain open until May 1st and matches will begin on May4th.
