Loads of people complain about how Source has all of these problems that won't ever be fixed, but they're so wrong; still living in the past, when Source actually did have a lot of problems. Now Source has developed quite a lot over the years, and many bugs have been fixed.
But yes, Source still does have the odd few bugs, such as the "crab planting bug". In this thread a few people have said that the flash bangs in Source are better than in 1.6, they're so wrong about that though. Flash bangs in Source are pretty much terrible, that's a down side. But as for Smokes, they are perfect.
We also have the problem with the random head shots while people are "running and spraying". But that is now a massive part of Source, so people will have to just get used to that. Awhile ago people complained about the 'hit boxes' but that is hardly an issue anymore.

flashes kill the game tbh
If you agree with that you're stupid. If you are good, you'll know how to use flashes perfectly, and how to also dodge them, or play in a position where you can avoid them. But on a lot of maps flashes are a great way to get into bombsites, again.. if they're used properly. An example would be if a team rushes banana, and the flashes are done wrong, the T's will lose the round most likely. They don't kill the game at all, they kill people who can't play the game very well.
Prefer about Source:
- Smoke Grenades
- Graphics
- AWP (everything about it including the Scope)
Prefer about CS1.6:
- Maps such as inferno, that suck on Source
- Flash bangs
- Recoil etc
But yeah I don't think we should always go on about "which game is better, CS1.6 or Source?" since they are different games, and different people prefer different games obviously. Source has it's ups and downs, but so does 1.6, nothing is perfect... apart from me!
