Counter-Strike Source : Week Two

This Monday join Jay & Corin for a double header of CS:S goodness. First of all we bring you all the action from the ClanBase Nations Cup. Italy face Russia in a Group D clash. With the action only just getting underway Russia are looking like Group D's top dog. However Italy will be wanting to put together at least a respectable scoreline and perhaps even show some of that Italian passion and possibly even pull out an upset.

Hot on the heels of the CB NC is TheSGL.com Season IX Invite game between DSRack and eVISON. Audio and video streams will be available and the SourceTV IP will be added to this announcement when they become known.

The action get's underway from 20:45 CET only at www.quadv.com.

Killing for Pleasure.css

Details

Interesting clash between two Finland's up and coming teams. Menace are coming off the back of an 18-12 victory over n1ce in week one. Killing for Pleasure however were the recipients of a default victory over Delinquent Habits, the question of their activeness and teamwork has yet to be answered. Also of interest will be if Mali the in game leader will confuse this prediction article with a results article again :). While my predictions for last week were pretty good they weren't quite Nostradamus.

If Menace can pick up Terrorist pistols on Nuke then I would back them for a victory. If SeRuM can show the flashes of brilliance that I saw in his HYPNOTIQ days then perhaps Menace can make this quite the show case. Not to count Killing for Pleasure out however, kfp are most defiantly a hungry organisation if they have put in the hours they could make this an eye opening experience for Menace.

Details

Another battle between teams from the same nation, this time a clash between the two Hungarian outfits of n1ce and ancients. Nice will be looking to bounce back from a valiant effort in a losing performance against Meance.fi in week one. Meanwhile ancients struggled against my favourite to take Season IX inteRaction. It still remains to be seen if ancients can recover from recent roster changes, they have long been considered the most recognised Hungarian outfit will n1ce-6aming take that title from them is Sunday?, I tend to believe they will.

Default victory to Riders, have to say that I am quite disappointed with Delinquent Habits they could have done quite well and helped to put Greek.css on the map but it appears it was not to be.

As I stated above I am leaning towards interRaction to take Season IX. They have LAN experience against some of Europe's top teams and they have players the calibre of MajklGO and STR. On any other map than Nuke I think Team aLive could probably post a decent scoreline but with the possibilty of losing both pistol rounds a distinct possibility inteRaction could possibly make this a painful learning experience for the Danes.

Details

eVISON in my estimation could be the major challenger to inteRaction through the course of Season IX. Topskrt will surely break out the old Logitech strats to open up the CT defence of DSRack. However DSRack are perfectly capable of taking eVISON into deep water if they can get CT pistols and hold strong at Ramp and upper.
