CSS UK Playoffs

Posted by sgl Blizzard on 23rd Jun 2009 @ 12:13pm

Last night was the final week of the Counterstrike Source UK season ten divisional stages. When reviewing the league from the public view it looks like it is littered with defaults. This to some extent is correct however not totally a true picture. A lot of the games did get played however they were later defaulted due to teams dropping out. The other defaults were just due to teams having exam commitments. In contrast to previous seasons of CSS be it European or UK we felt we needed to up our game and personally I have tried to keep in contact with all the teams to make sure the league ran as smoothly as possible. A lot of credit must go to the teams that did play the majority of there games and to the teams which turned up each week without fail those.

Below I have listed the outstanding matches from the season and these must be played before the 30th June, if they are not played then I will simply void them. Some matches which were outstanding have been void due to them having no impact on the final standings or teams simply not informing me they couldn’t play and didn’t turn up to the expected time.

Matches Scheduled by teams for 23rd June 2009

Sektor Gaming.css vs Vicious Malice 8pm
Unique Esports.Zowie vs Kokaine 8pm
Team Av alanche vs Weapons of the Rebellion 9pm

Matches Schedule by theSGL not teams for 29th June 2009

Team Avalanche vs Intrepid# 9pm
Sourcers vs Simplexity 9pm
Dynamo. Vs ̷̨●̷̨° 9pm

I have now set up the playoffs also these placing may change depending the outcome of the above games.

The playoffs will be single elimination best of three maps games and will all start at 8pm on your set date.

Invite Playoff

Premiership Playoff
Championship Playoff

Playoffs map choices, there will be 5 maps de_dust2, de_inferno, de_nuke, de_train and de_cpl_mill the highest seed will first eliminate a map followed by the other team eliminating a map. The highest seed will then pick the first map from the remaining maps and the other team will pick the second map from the remaining maps leaving the third map to be whatever is left.

I would like to thank all the teams for there participation and wish the playoff teams the best of luck.
