The SteelSeries Continental Challenge League is an ambitious tournament designed with one goal in mind - to create a standardised European league structure for CSS based on the UEFA system for football. I truly believe that anyone organising a legaue or cup system should consider the merits of the way football set's itself up. They do of course have the benefit of working with teams that don't fold during the season - but hey! lets try and do the best with what we have and hopefully we will keep such issues to minimum with our choice teams (for every three applied only two actually got in).
As you will be aware we have regional and in some cases where the demand from one country was sufficient - national league divisions. Teams fromeach of these divisions will play to qualify for the "Champions League" style event run concurrently with the next season. The SteelSeries Continental Challenge Cup (CCC) will also be run alongside this season with the thirty two teams taking part selected based on reputation and the considered opinion of admins here at theSGL. The top twenty four teams chosen will go strgith into the draw and the following eight places will be filled by a one off qualifying tie as sixteen further teams are reduced to just eight to fill the entire thirty two slots. More on the CCC in it's own section shortly.
Besides the regular SGL admins who are on hand to help you out with any queries you have we have also been fortunate enough to receive the services of some helpful players from other areas to help with the language barrier. you can find these players opped in #theSGL for the duration of this event.
On top of the coverage and detail here at theSGL we have also been pleased to work with some national and regional news sites who are providing coverage at a local level to you in greater detail about any given division.
