5v5 Counter-Strike: Source League

 TOURNAMENT OVERVIEW

Keeping pace with the Team Fortress 2 and Call of Duty 4 champions league stye events we have running right now leding us into our main Summer event schedule here is a Counter Strike Source event laid out in pretty much the same manner and designed to carry us through for a few weeks until theSGL main summer events are launched.

As you will know we started off just before Christmas with our SteelSeries Continental challenge league which has now techinically finished though there are a number of matches outstanding that will hopefully be caught up upon over the next couple of weeks.

The Challenge cup Section of that event continues apace and will soon enter the best of three map knockout section which has produced so many exciting matches for us in our recent tournaments. Expect to see coverage for that event ramped up to top level over the course of that knockout phase.

In the mean time I thought I would get a bit of a breather but we have been inundated with requests for something else for teams to play in so here we go with a very straight forward eight groups of six champions league format event.

Starting in three weeks time we will take forty eight teams split up into groups of six with one match per week for five weeks. The top two teams in each group to go through into a best of three map single elimination knockout.

This is a Placement Event for our Next Invite Event - The following event after this one will be one of our special events with a prize to match - as you will no doubt remember the last CSS prize we handed out was £5,000 for the old Four-Kings team last Autumn - so keep your eyes peeled because it wont be long before we head down that road again!

In the mean time the best of luck to all teams and thanks from the admin team here for keeping us busy (we don't like sitting back, taking it easy and playing a bit ourselves apparently!)
