ok so here we have it, i bought this pc 3 weeks again with 465gb hhd and after 3 weeks ive lost 120+gb , this is not possible at all! all i have on the pc is, Steam,cs,css.. irc, bitcomit, limewire, shotonline(classic game) and that is it! my biggest file seems to be around 7gb and thats the steam file. now it seems as if im losing 2gb at a time roughly every2 days when i dont hardly download anything i find this possible to believe, ive tried clearing pagefiles ive got AVG virus scanner, using CCleaner to etc, so i dont really know? im on vista 64bit i dont know if this could be effecting it but to be honest 120+gb in 3weeks isnt normal

any help would be great thanks!

defragging seem's to clear some harddrive space so i've heard, i've never done it before i aint got a clue what it does so if i get this wrong then don't go LQL UR BADZZZZ but i heard defragging finds the space between files and closes the spaces making your hdd space that was not taken up by anything but not available because of spacing between files back and available to use APPARENTLY

Your pc must run slow :S Window's aint gunna like having only 1GB free.

And, like Jimbo said, could be System Restore. If you go into the support bit and launch the system restore wizard there should be some options you can change that limit the amount of disk space it can use
