why is it embarassing? it might not be the car of everyones choice but it did the job he wanted it to do,
it isn't all about getting the power though is it have to make sure it can handle the power, make sure the car handles in its self, make sure it stop, make sure it lasts... then it has custom parts on wich is personal choice like me saying to someone with some g-star jeans on i could have got you some jeans that did the same job from asda for 1/4 the price just not the same is it

that's my opinion danneth, it's embarassing, I wouldn't do it. I'd spend it on something that has a more retro feel than a nova, i.e. chevette or a manta (going for vauxhalls obv)
but he is happy so that's all that matter

i admire your effort, but the breadvan isnt all you make it to be... its heavy as fook.
heres a clip of my friends car. A nice 150bhp gtti round brands hatch. notice how he smashes the M3 bmw... and im sure thats not slow.

A remember a few year ago when i had me Raider some snotty snosed little chav with "iv got a GTTI turbo syndrome, my cars 100bhp and weighs blah blah bollocks i shud drive for mclaren" tried it on with me, & i humiliated it.
It had a rolling start on me & i pissed all over it without getting outta 3rd gear, plus i had 3 passengers
CTR is a far superior car than a banger coming upto 20 years old, fair enough not bad for when your 17 then you can tell your m8s i have a turbo. wouldnt have one given too me.

no effort needed, anyone with half a brain would know a CTR would be quicker then a charade
i like the video but i didnt think they was 150bhp standard? or are you talking about modded cars here? you sound impressed that the gti beat the bmw m3 yet the gti will prob have a better power/weight ratio please explain what your excitement is about

what your failing to reaslise is, the CTR's engine is TWICE the size of the gtti. your going on about OH LOOK AT ME I DRIVE A CTR... its a civic, common as muck. Im not denying they are a quick car, but when your going on like OH THE CHARADE IS A BANGER, yet its 17 years old and still beats the cars of today...
Yes it is 100bhp standard, but its a 3pot 993cc.
Dont get me wrong i love civic's but when your driving a breadvan nothing to really brag about imo.

Oh and Danneth, your friend is a moron for paying 15k on a nova..My friend bought his for £700, then just added a few things and fine tuned it, overall he spent about £1.400 on it and it ripped alot of "fast cars" the other night.
