hi guiz new pc finally built up only problem i have is that when i shut the pc down it powers down.......stays powered down for about 5 seconds then starts itself back up again. even when i hold the power button it does exactly the same thing :/ ive googled it up to no sucess! ive tried power settings and made sure the bios settings are set up right im purely stumped now! ive heard its a software thing or setting on the actually pc but to me it sounds like a hardware issue. if not the psu itself. if ppl want specs i will post was just wondering if there was any general ideas help meeeeeeeeeeee! u got your power/reboot wires crossed on mobo?
possibly boot up if u got any of these enabled in bios..
1 USB device wake-up on SPCI suspend.
2 Modem Ring on.
3 Wake on LAN.
4 Mouse Power on.
5 PME event wake-up.
6 Resume by alarm.
got Roxio cd creator?
try the following (when your shutting down.. your pc might get an error when saving your settings, causing it to reboot?)
Rightc lick on my computer and select properties. Click the advanced tab, Under 'Startup & Recovery' click Settings. Under 'System Failure' uncheck the box in front of 'System reboot'
try this and post back

sounds like it could the bios try heading to your mobo manufactures site and having a look at the bios updates as well as the forums you might find people also have a simlar issue it could be just a simple change in the bios or an update you can do via a program on your desktop if your not familar with the bios update process
