Hey I'm on NTL Broadband 20meg, get an average of like 20 ping on any server except dustworld to which I get over 100 ping , it's only dustworld servers and it's EVERY dustworld server lol. Anyone got any idea's of why this is? Or even how to fix it!? Or even if anyone else has the same problem? I know a lot of my friends have the same problem and are on the same ISP as me.

I am starting to notice that the majority of down south people are getting 100+ ping on dw servers. :S

this is why i stopped playing SGL after that Nations cup thing, 100+ ping is unplayable

and i'm shit

if we could use sglac on non-dw servers that would be nice...

i'm down south and my ping on our server for a while is like 120+ then drops to about 18/20 then back up again..should be sorted soon though Kiss

I get 7 ping on dustworld and i live in London.

we have hundreds, possibly thousands of clients on NTL/telewest/VM and we get 1-2 complaints a week, if you contact us direct we MIGHT be able to sort you out, but 9 times out of 10 its a VM problem (we can also help with this)

As per instructions above do a tracert to 193.238.84.1 (please do 3 of them) and then cut and paste the info into an email and send it to support at dustworld.net can you also include 1 extra tracert to any other host to show that you are pinging normally to.

IRC is still the best way to chat to us live.

Now I've uploaded the 3 screenshots of tracert to dustworld and than the one to another server where I get a low ping on, wondering if you can possible help me out. The link to the 4 screenshots are as follows ::

Most definitely a route related issue, notice how the high ping comes into affect way before you hit Dustworlds network?

Once again, the mighty VirginMedia have skewed up their routing policies - you bounce straight over to Amsterdam, then New York City - then immediately back to the UK.

This would be the reason for you having such high ms, Virginmedia are pushing you all the way over to the Atlantic and back to reach the DW network.

There is not a lot you can do tbh with you Jimmy, just wait it out - see if Virgin will self-correct the issue; you could always try harassing them over the phone.
