Headsets

OK, ive got medusa's atm and i love them dearly however theyre a few years old and starting to die.

I bought the 5h v2 USB but the drivers werent right or something because there were only 2 channels and the sound only came out of one of the earphones. Is this because of my PC or because the headphones were slightly damaged?
I was looking at a Siberia neckband but I just think its going to do exactly the same thing. I was also looking at the Sennhieser HD555's but theyre really really ugly and dont have a mic and i dont know about the channels.

Any help would be appreciated just tell me what you've got what you've had before and what you think would be best.

PS: The drivers i had and have installed when I installed the SteelSeries drivers are Creative media rear pannel audio.

Sennhieser HD555's are pretty awesome, they dont have a mic but you can get a desktop mic for a few quid in a local pc shop, if i were you i'd get some

whatever you do ever ever dont get the fatal1ty one, i use it and makes me wanted to smash it each time i use it. but cba to change it so... yeah just dont get it.

HD555's look sweeeeeeeeeet!

Get them they are awesome, and just get a separate microphone

hd555's easily outperform the medusa's and the 5h v2's! on a side note the drivers aren't essential for the usb adapter on the 5h v2's.
Get the hd555's they are good looking and the sound quality is immense, I have a set after changeing from 5h v2's myself and the difference is amazing. Not being funny but if you think their ugly you won't notice them if you have them on your head

I was just looking for something with the same quality as my medusa's because i want 5.1/7.1 channels and decent quality. Can anyone awnser the question about my 5hv2 USB driver/headset thing?

Why would anyone want to use a USB soundcard? They sound fucking terrible.. won't get the full potential out of most headsets. x-fi is the way forward!

your 5hv2 must hvave been done in... because i didn't think they even needed drivers? I just put mine in and they are perfect. I must say that it does sound like they were damaged in the post, because that happened with my previous headsets and the sound only came through one ear :/ and was very poor in the other one as well.

worst headset i ever used.. cheap and nasty stick with the 5h v2's not the usb version cant go wrong with em.

iv'e had my HD555's for about 1year. still sound asif they are brand new... quality = WOW.
if you think they are ugly, fuck it. they are the most comfortable thing ever =]

lan players use sennheiser usb adapters

yeah same had these about 3 years top quality sound and no signs of dieing out any time soon, strongly recommend them and they're cheap
