LOL, oh deary me.. routers arnt hard to install/setup.. pretty much all done for you with the wizards that they come with now days.. :/
Clueeh, if you can only connect to local, that means that your not connected to the internet, IE, you havnt put in the correct login settings for ADSL or similar things like that.

A routers OS compatibility shouldnt matter, aslong as the OS supports tcp/ip which is does.. althou some do play funny beggers. Which is why i asked for router make/model n ting ;X
Homeplugs are a decent way to get around the fact that you "have" to use wireless, its the better than using wireless thats for sure..
Its an odd one, since the other computers in the house get internet... i presume its just you thats slipped up and misconfigured it somewhere and borked it up
Andeh, When your pc connects to the wireless, does it pop up saying Local only? or does it say Local & Internet?
