new pc

was looking at upgrading pretty much my whole pc, except my soundcard, graphics, dvd drive and power supply.

am a bit out of touch with all the current stuff, from what i can gather core2duo is the way to go, was wondering what you lot thought of these bits?

The case is personal choice really... i brought a cheapo case for my pc about 5 months ago.. and i hate it, all plasticy and shit.. which is why im investing in an Antec 900, but.. its up to u

and for the GFX card... either..

ATi 4850 or an 8800GT - both decent cards, both will do the job for a very reasonable price.


can say with my 8800GT // Q6600 // 4gb ram - in css, everything on high in 1680x1050 i get 470fps in the middle of a firefight, it should do you fine

will be using xp, the only reason why i picked that case is because i thought the processor would run really hot, so needed alot of cooling? if not ill just go for an even more basic one as the case doesn't bother me in the slightest!
