The following is a graphics card heirarchy chart, the top tier contains the highest performing cards available, and performance decreases as you go down the tiers from there. You can use this hierarchy to compare the pricing between two cards, to see which one is a better deal and also to determine if an upgrade is worthwhile. I dont recommend upgrading your graphics card unless the replacement card is at least 3 tiers higher. Otherwise, the upgrade is somewhat parallel and you may not notice a worthwhile difference in performance.

I also included some mobile graphics cards too, there isnt much information on these, so it was an educated guess as to where they placed in the chart, I should imagine at most they would be out by 1 tier, if they are out at all! Smile

The 280GTX is a massive card, i had to try 2 of my old cases to find one that would fit it (So definatly won't fit a shuttle).

Pretty handy.
My 2900XT broke a few days ago, not sure whether to go for a 9800 GX2 or a GTX 280 card yet.
Definately going Nvidia as one or two programs I regularly use have problems with the ATI drivers, will have to weigh up the price to performance of the two cards at a later date.
