Hey guys,

Im gonna start taking lessons soon, but i need to think about getting a car as well..

What first car do you recommend?

I'm looking for a car that i will be insured on,

I dont want it to look like a piece of shit, i dont want anything under 1.2 litres.

Thx x

loads to choose from depends on your budget, BUT please remember if you choose a 106 like people say Surprised then join the AA or RAC Winking

just make sure when choosing a car you take someone with you who knows what to look for and obviously try and get one with as much history with it etc

Ive just recently got a first car. I got a corsa 1.2L 1999 for £700 in really good condition and it runs really well and is very fuel efficient doing about 350miles to a full tank (£45). The insurance cost me £520 with my dad being the main driver and me being a named driver but with direct line I can build up no claims with them so it will end up a lot cheaper if I stay with them.

thats the thing the no claims bonus only counts with them, so abit of a waste IMO as there no where near the cheapest Sad may as well just build your own claims up from day one
