Just wondering which headphones to buy, the Sennheiser HD 555's or the Sennheiser HD 595's. Cheers.

I have the HD555s, they're pretty good, I dunno if you'd notice that much of a difference going up to the 595s though.

I checked the technical specifications out the only difference is this

HD 555's Frequency response (headphones) 15.....28000 Hz

HD 595's Frequency response (headphones) 12.....38500 Hz

So whether that will make a great deal of difference for 40 quid i dunno. But probably gonna get the 555's

555's are defo better VFM i had this same predicament when I was buying a set of headphones, I went with the 555's and they are awesome.
*note my headphones prior to my 555's were Steelseries 5h v2 usb and the sennheisers are a massive improvement

The human ear won't notice the difference between them frequencies. The only difference is the sound quality. The 595's are superier, but not by much. I think only an audiophile will tell the difference. ;_;

Anyone have any idea if these headphones have a flat EQ response? As in, they dont boost bass to improve music quality or something?

Decent specs, and if they're flat, they're be pretty damn good for production.

Im pretty sure HD 555's dont bass boost, they go simply on 'burn in' effect to determine how punchy the bass gets.
