Ok, so cs has started doing this wierd shit, when im playing it Freezes for half a second, every other second. It will carry on like this for a good 10-15 mins, then suddenly stop.
Any ideas?

No, it started happeneing before the virus (Not as bad though) and now i have got rid of the virus it is still happening.

Westy, try closing irc when your playing. Also if you have AVG uninstall it and see if theres any difference.

LoL, cs is against me.
Well i tried totally uninstalling cs, then re installed it and it was still happening.
The wierd thing is it only happens to cs, cod4 is fine, wow/war is fine. Even cs:s still runs smoothe, its just 1.6 for some reason...

Well i have now not only uninstalled 1.6, but also HL1 and DoD so everything that has hl1 info on it was gone. Re installed it all from 0% and it still does it! So it has nothing to do with the game files them selfes.

Well i closed everything apart from cs, and it still happened.
I even closed AVG, although something that seemed wierd, even though avg was closed one of its processes (avgrsx.exe) would not go away, even if i clicked "end processes".
Alll my processes running, most seem legit, not sure what that igfxsrvc is but its been there since i have had the computer.

avg was what caused that annoying lag for me, uninstalled it and it totally went away. Get avira, it has a game mode in it that stops it doing anything while games are running.

on your gfx card settings, try turning off threaded optimisation

must be something to do with the new graphics driver i installed, just realised it's happened just since then. i'm nvidia 9600gt btw
