LOL turn your computer off immediatly and do not turn back on until you get a new fan/fix the problem..

you will fry your cpu and possibly the other components too..

Buy a new cpu fan.

wont affect nothing . mine does it all the time since i changed the cpu fan to a performance 1. it has a very slow speed at startup, then goes nutz when it needs to . You can disable this warning in the bios if you want to. 1st though undo the side of ur case and turn your comp on. check that it is running when u boot up, if it isnt obviously turn it off. If it is dont panic =]

Have you got PWM (4 thin leads) that connect your CPU Heatsink/Fan block to the motherboard ? I have a Q6600 and I do, and the 4th wire just basically tells the motherboard to tell the fan to speed it up more when the CPU gets hotter and slow it down if the CPU isn't as hot.

Personally my heatsink on my Q6600 turns on straight away, but my Athlon X2 at home doesn't turn on at all until a program is run. It stays off while booting into windows, stays off when browsing the net, then when photoshop, CS, or any sort of slightly CPU intensive program, the fan will kick in.

Other than that, have you had a little fiddle with the heatsink recently ? I have once forgotten to plug the 3 or 4 pin back into the motherboard before and my PC auto-shutdown :P

Buy an after market cooler, stock heatsink and fans are a state.

checked to see if it is actually spinning? check temps if all is fine then go into bios and choose ignore.

This was a issue when Arctic Cooling first released the ACF64 Pro, it would start up at such a slow speed bios wouldn't recognise it spinning so it would just report this error.
