How should I sponsor Firecore lan?

Right, I decided to help out the '1.6 scene' by sponsoring Firecore, domain etc. sorted by me, and also offering to sponsor the event itself in an effort to promote my brand, Obesetiger.

The question I have for the public is, how should I sponsor it?

The current 'deal' would be:

5 hoodies for winners
5 tee shirts for 2nd place.
Plus various prizes for things like clutch of the day, frag of the day etc. maybe give something if anyone aces.

Beside me providing cupcakes and cookies in the shape of the Obesetiger logo, I was perhaps wondering if it would be better to ask the community how I should sponsor.

I could offer 3 x 5 shirts for the top 3 teams perhaps, or offer something half decent to everyone who enters, or one of the choices is to just top up the prize money of the winner[which is personally not a favourite since that hardly helps my brand by getting it out there.]

I'm basically asking should I:

Keep to current of offering the top 2 teams decent prizes, plus prizes for aces, clutch of the day etc.

Offer everyone who turns up something[haven't thought about this in enough detail for what it would exactly be yet]

Top of the cash prize pool[which would ONLY help the #1 team]

Remember that cup cakes and cookies will be available whatever the outcome of what you decide.

Maybe a choice of hoodies or t-shirts for top team - they may not want hoodies. Not sure if it's a prize worth fighting for? Depends how good they are.

Make some keyrings or something for everyone, or bottle openers

Just about sums up the UK scene, I'm trying to somewhat help out, and all I get is an accusation? How does that realistically assist?

And sui, the shirts are pretty amazing quality.

I'd take the hoodies/t-shirts over a little bit more money. I'm assuming they aren't rubbish and it just seems like a cooler prize to get; better memento. :P

If I were you then there's no way i'd add money to the pot. As you said, you wouldn't gain any brand expansion from that. The idea of a prize for the best clutch is really cool. Doesn't really seem like a whole lot else you can do. Unless you wanted to sponsor the winning team with like LAN t-shirts for the future or something. Unfortunately the UK scene isn't really big enough for that to be worthwhile.

any pics of these hoodies/t-shirts stal1n..... also sound like gd prizes but what about vouchers n shit? like say £10 off @ hmv or play.com for example but either way nice of u to offer for prizes out

Ok, well it seems the prizes for clutch of the day, frag etc. is well appreciated, so I'll throw a couple of extra tee shirts in.

Only downside is I've no idea what sizes to take, so maybe take some just to have a pic to promote then let the actual winners email me their preference. Also, dolphin they are proper good quality, not really sure I can explain until we get the shipment by the end of the week.

As I say, I hope just to put a tiny bit more in , few tees thrown around for people helping out, for frag of the day, winners get to choose between hoody and tee etc.

On another note, the 'lan winners' thing winning sponsored shirts won't really work. Seems most teams want sponsored shirts that are of the silky, football style type, ours are thicker better quality shirts with high quality printing.

Also the cup cakes will I assume go down a treat.

why dont u give 5 t-shirts/hoodies for 3rd place then a t-shirt/hoodie for frag of day clutch of day top fragger etc...
