Buying a Prebuilt Computer

Hi guys any help or advice would be amazing as I'm really out of the loop with computers, I haven't even had a desktop pc for like 4-5 years now...

Basically I need to shop around for a decent computer for my dad, he doesn't live close so I'm really looking for a prebuilt one he can just order and get delivered so I don't have to travel there to build it/travel there to maintain it if it fucks up (computers I have built many years ago had a habit of doing this). However if people think I won't be able to find a decent deal without buying separate parts I guess I would have to consider it.

Anyway I was looking at something like this:

http://www.dinopc.com/shop/pc/22-002-Intel-SLI-Gaming-PC-750i-Chipset-94p495.htm (£500 is pretty much the most he's willing to spend)

It won't really be used for gaming (but at the same time I want him to have a pc at least capable of playing new games). Maybe upgrade the HD to the 1TB S-ATAII 3.0Gb/s and the CPU to Intel® Core 2 Quad Q8300? As they would give it a bit of a longer life?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, as like I say I'm absolutely clueless these days regarding computers :x
