Now I'm "no expert" but that is right isn't it ?
wipe all vestige of the client from your pc, make sure yo make exceptions in any Av software you have and perform a full reinstall.
Not much more I can say there really.

As far as I know he has reinstalled after clearing the SGLac folder and doesn't have an AC/Firewall either, maybe he should try checking registry.
