the debt isn't uniteds, it stems from the owners and the loans they took out when they bought the club ... it has nothing to do with transfers! we never paid the £18m for ljajic, the deal was cancelled albeit there have been a few flops such as tosic and bebe (up to now).

they're more than capable of paying it off like Liverpool were doing when they was in 350M debt, but obviously its not good as its a waste of 100K+ a week interest. It doesn't affect performances at all, so its kind of irrelevant if you like. When Fergie retires i cant see anybody being as good as he is, as now days a manager isn't given 10 years to win a trophy. United need to replace 4 players in the summer, for subs and first 11:

Bennoman, Scholes and Giggs are still playing fantastically and have said they are playing one more season, why is that a problem? Neville and Van Der Sar have been replaced. We could still use an attacking midfielder and a winger.

I hope cleverly gets a first team role, he was one of our best players at Leicester. I don't think anyone in the current squad can do what scholes does though, somebody needs to be brought in.

Kuszczak (Doesn't expect to be 1st keeper when VDS goes)
VDS (Retire)
Neville (Too old)
Hargreaves (not being offered a new contract)
Owen (Lack of first team opportunities)
Brown (Ditto)
With two keepers going it looks like another one will be going into Utd.

Utd looking at Dutch/German/Italian/French/Brazilian national keepers. I guess they'd take #1 with Lindgaard as understudy.
