As you all know in 2011, all teams in the prem etc who wish to play in the champions leauge/Europa leauge, can only spend what they earn. So the likes of city and chelsea wont be able to splash the cash as you say. This is good for other football clubs imo especially for those clubs who actually do generate profit.

I know liverpool has started opening other football shops around the uk to try and generate revenues, aswell as receiving 80M over 4 years for our recent shirt sponsor

your thoughts on the new rules?

I think this is probably the best thing that any football association has done in recent years. It's stopping teams like Manchester City and Chelsea and Real Madrid from inflating the market. Although it still doesn't make it fair for the smaller teams, with less global recognition and less stadium capacity, as they'll still be struggling to sign players.

Your 'doesn't make it fair' reasoning is the exact reason so many clubs are in financial trouble as it is hsf.

The spending is over a 3 year period so clubs can still spend massively, they just have to not spend for the following 2. Been trying to explain this on here for ages, glad somebody put it in a paper so Bennoman trusts it inherently.
