in what sort of race? I'd put money on the supra out doing the Megane after 80-90mph and it would carry on pulling away, in the twisties for sure the Megane would destroy the supra

I dont think there would be to much in them after 100mph, aero's are alot better these days plus the supra is giving away nearly 200kg's, how many times are you going to be doing 100+ though? in gear times and handling as well as the speed is where it is ;)

Mine brand new in 2010 was after fianance 21500. You can pick them up for a 60plat mayb with 5k on clock for around 18grand. some are down to the lows of 16k with around 12k on the clock. Their handling is ridiclous. could take on most things on track.

They jst brought out a megane 265 trophy, not far of the same as the 250 jst with 15bhp more which is not really anything and added a black roof and put some different tyres on... but its like 5k more then the 250 brand new so no point.. but lik i say mine is tuned up to 325 on my 250.. the 265 trophy holds the record of been the fastest FWD to go round the nurburgring. so they are impressive.

I know a number of roads ;) can tell you now i've seen BPU (400-420bhp) supra's out do an R8 and a Aston DB9 after 90 ;) remember the stock supra does 0-60 in 4.6 and top end of 186 iirc, I don't doubt Gaz' Megane is quick.....but it all goes back to what we look for from a car

Mine is 325 in a fwd and stil hands like a dream with the stiff dif. My car is all about handling tho. not really for the power. thats what most renaults are all about the ability to handle well. But if the power is put down good enuff 400bhp + in a fwd isnt pointless imo.

was talking about any fwd car pushing 350/400bhp+

the ability to put the power to the road etc.
