basically, found a phone and thinking about selling on mazuma etc. but before i do is there anyway to find out if the person has reported the phone lost/stolen? x

If it's a contract phone which has been barred or reported stolen then they'll report you to the police

makes sense, dont wanna risk that like! might just sell it in a market or something..

Either that or sell it on eBay as spare parts?

or, take it to the police station and if nobody collects it you get a free phone.

worth a try ringing 'home' or something on the phone to try and return it, the person will more than likely give some reward. You never know you might meet your future wife.

check the contacts there will definately be someone who knows the person, and if you found it they probably don't live too far :D

I've found 3 phones which I've handed in, only ever got one reward which was a bottle of champagne :D

I would of gave it back but the phone is pass worded!

Maybe hold the phone hostage haha? "give me a reward else the phone gets dropped into a kettle!"

Im weird. Last night i dreamed I found someones iPhone and i was thinking of selling it before i realized they might block the phone/sim so just as i was working out how to use the phone to ring "home" or "mum" or "dad" to return it it locked up and froze as was phone locked :(

Take the sim card out and phone the appropriate "Lost or stolen" number and send it to the carrier.

Take the sim out and put it into your phone, the contacts may be on there as 'home' or other contacts saved to the sim.

I've done this with loads of things, takes about 5 weeks but then its "LEGALLY" yours :D

keep it take it to the market get it unblocked cost you about 15 quid and use it, sounds selfish but trust me the chances are if someone found your phone you wont get it back lol!
