Any one playing this yet? .it's a persistant world realistic zombie survival mod. It has shot a pretty shitty game in ArmA2 to Number 1 in steam sales and it's still in Alpha, it's gaining popularity ridiculously quick.

It's hard to explain all of the games points at one time but if you check it out you'll probably get a crazy desire to play it. Any video you watch is pretty much gonna be out-dated as a major patch comes out every few days and hot fixes throughout those two days, there are plenty of streams on Twitch TV though.

I have been playing and it's well worth the time, some of the experiences you get are insane, it's something I have never came across in a game.

I felt like I was done with gaming (except SC2 spectating of course), but then I found this through the twitch streams. Wow.. I'm seriously hooked. Getting a buddy or multiple buddies together, and you have one of the most amazing experiences ever. I'm exhausted after playing for nearly 10 hours today. I was basically a total noob yesterday, and now we are camped on the east coast near the NE airfield with MP5s, AKMs, blood packs, grenades, and countless other stuff (map, compass, watch, etc). Simply put.. there is NOTHING else like this game. We are at the beginning of a gaming revolution...

I play solo most of the time because my friends haven't sorted it yet (bought it but not set it up etc)..

TeamLiquid has quite a small active DayZ group active at all times on their TS3 which is what I use when I'm looking for some companionship, theyre a good bunch of guys too, numerous times one has travelled cross-map to patch me up with food and a blood bag etc.

concept is amazing and implementation looks pretty amazing... if they can fix the horrible super alpha-glitch animations and running through buildings etc i'd definitely play it! in a game where the intention is to be as immersive and realistic as possible that kinda breaks it for me

played it for about a day, its brilliant ! playing with a bunch of people on the overclockers forum.. i do recommend

Been playing it for a few weeks now, it's awesome. Must say though I had bad experiences with other survivors when I first started which has turned me into a remorseless bandit, shooting first asking questions later sorta thing.

still not sale on steam :< read an interview with some arma III devs saying that day z has influenced their development of arma III.

** Head of their company is a massive day z fan apparently

There is too much ambiguity when approaching new players, I just try to avoid everyone at all costs, make quick runs into cities/towns and back out with minimum fuss, I never open fire and I just make sure I'm super stealth-mode. BE WATER, MY FRIEND. I have been alive for 3 weeks and I have one zombie kill and 0 human kills...
