gerrard and parker played the screening role as well as could have been asked, the one mistake probably costing the goal but it was a nice strike by nasri (the little goofy, ratty cunt)
welbeck and young put an absolute shift in, i agree i'd rather see young out on the left and we probably will when rooney returns to the side
do agree, but like I said I think gerrard is wasted in a "screening role", which is unfortunate
the ox looked nervous when he bumbled and tripped over the ball a few times, dribbled without the close control he normally has. personally thought he had a fine game, not easy to stand out in a team that doesn't hold the ball when you're a player like him. you could see him get frustrated with himself though, i'd be very shocked if anyone wasn't nervous playing at that level for the first time. he'll be a quality player for a long time to come
