A promotional video for an upcoming episode of Gametrailers TV seems to indicate they have some exclusive information about a possible Counter-Strike 2 in the works. Though, far be it from me to call this as a good marketing draw for GT TV to entice people to watch, when the last official word on CS2 was that there was no CS2 planned.
In addition, they'll have new footage of Left 4 Dead, a look at a new map for Team Fortress 2 (presumably it will be Goldrush), and an interview with Gabe Newell.
The next episode of GT TV will air Friday night at 1AM on Spike. 1AM? Seriously?

no they mean counter-strike 2 but who knows could just be some sort of marketing scheme by GTV for viewers.

Alsobear in mind please CS2.0 will be even further removed from 1.6 than CSS is. Theyre not going to go back to basics - valve move forward not back. Just think about it. CS2.0 more like 1.6 than CSS ? unlikely...

They have moved forward once already, and lets see, which game has more players, source or 1.6?

They have proved moving that far forward only kills the game, i reckon they would just revamp 1.6, get rid of bugs, new models, new map textures, things like that. Oh well we will just have to wait and see.

surely valve learn from there own statistics that 1.6 is still (and will be for a long time) their most popular game?
if they released a '1.7' with new models textures maps or whatever, put it in stores for £40 they would make millions, who here wouldn't buy it?
