ive quit cs but sgl is still my friend when i need computer help 
First of all it takes me ages to load my pc and when i get to the login point from there my pc keeps freezing and unfreezing every 5 seconds and it wont stop ive system restrored no help what so ever ive cooled the pc down for a while no help

or if you're not impressed with the idea of formatting a place to start would be
start > run > type "msconfig" > startup
and see if theres anything in there that shouldn't be, also ctrl+shift+esc and check your processes to see if theres anything having a party in there.
obviously if you're going to massacre your system though i'd back up all your valuable data etc.
oh get hold of coretemp as well and make sure your cpu isn't frying eggs.
