Anybody actually want to get somewhere?
Anybody want to genuinely improve?
Anyone want to create a team which doesn't just aim to look good, but actually be good?
Seems everyone these days just bullshits their face off and chases all the meaningless superficial things.
Idlers, what do they do? Idle. By definition they actually do absolutely nothing.
"Sponsors"? What's the obsession here? Why will people be so desperate to say they're "sponsored" that they'll say that about a website that they just payed for?
Words like "skilled", "experienced", "established" and "mature" get thrown around by everyone. But wait, don't actions speak louder than words?
Similarly, what about when people say "I wanna achieve something" then they rage-quit when they lose a game. Or even say "I'm quitting CS".
Probably the biggest joke is SteamIDs. Does a SteamID prove you cheat, or that you haven't played for longer than you got your account? Now that people can buy SteamIDs, does it even prove you've played since the account was made? Does it prove anything?
The way I see it, people are focussed on INSTANT GRATIFICATION. They can't DELAY GRATIFICATION, which is an essential ability to ACHIEVE in the long term. They say (and may or may not be bullshitting) that they want to achieve something, or even to "go pro", but they don't even have the right attitude to get it. Surely if they wanted something they'd have figured out how to get it, and started on that path?
It's funny when you ask someone about their team and they'll reel off all this bullshit "we're fully sponsored, got 100 idlers, sick players like X, high skilled, dedicated, established, league experience", when in reality they're another just-made, soon-to-fold random mix of ignorant egocentric myopic morons who spammed all their friends to idle yet another one of their channels, but "this time we're not gonna fold".
Again, about this instant gratification hunt; why are people so fixated on the immediate (win or lose a match) and ignorant of the future (learn, improve, become a better team who are able to beat better opponents and more likely to win competitions). It's as though improvement doesn't exist in their reality; what you have now can't change, and if you can't win now you can never win. Is that right?
It's like they're making a flower by sticking some leaves onto sticks, and wondering why it's not as beautiful as one which had grown over a long time from a seed.
And what's with all the egos? Someone gets good at a computer game then they abuse forums with some smug attitude and stupid comments. It's nice to be confident, but kids trying to look cocky are just irritating. Do they actually think it makes them look cool? "cy@~"?
A quote which somes up the failing attitude: "we don't need fucking tactics".
Anybody share my feelings?

Agreed. Good things come to those who wait. Its a fact that none of the good teams today got to where they are in a month..or two months...
U just gotta remember most of this site is mildly immature people, and because its the net people arnt exactly "themselves".
but aye ur right tbh.

No, there is no team yet, I'm still trying to find the right players.
At the moment, I'm playing with JAEDOR and eRAZEr, who I think are good players, but nothing is definite and we don't have 5 or 6.
Jaunty is a good player and a great guy but he can't really LAN and he's not 100% reliable as he plays dod a lot of the time, too.

No, I've said this from day 1. It just frustrates me that so many other people's attitudes seem so short-sighted.

This attitude is the reason UK CS is in the state it has been in for the last 4-5 years and also why hardly any good teams have ever come out of the UK scene (excepting the old 4K lineup who underachieved most of the time anyway).
How often do you see swedish teams, or french teams, or to a lesser extent german teams acting like that? Yeah, exactly.
