Just saw this post and noticed afe wppl getting banned for cheat file son their desktop/user folders.

SGLAC, scans what you are running, when you load SGLAC if the cheat is loaded and in your processors it will be classed as you are cheating. If its not i think its ok. People like ninteh have cheats for movie making. So they are allowed on your PC.

Thanks for the prompt reply, just wondered we tend to use these tools to review demos.
Like to get a definiative answer from main develpoer if poss, so witll ask further.

You will be banned if you are found to run these cheats whilst using SGLac. The locations reffered to are the locations the files are being run from.

Finally (and im going to get this bound to a key i swear)

SGLac does not scan your hard drive. We do not care what you have got - just what you are using.

quakeroates... if u use these cheats to review demos REBOOT your pc before openening SGLAC. last year one of our players did what u do, closed the cheat opened up sglac and POW cheat was still in memory or something and banned him, eventhough it was outside of match day. so just be careful!

SGLac catches people with active running cheats.

it doesnt know what day it is or what day your matches are. it knows if you have loaded cheat s in your active processes.

Frankly if you want to be safe - dont install the cheats in the first place. Some remain in memory even after reboot. What other programs do you go download from dodgy sources where people talk of rootkits and sub os hacking , yet youre happy to blithely install all this stuff on your pc. I'm sure its all 100% virus/spyware free though Winking

and then you wonder when your steam/msn/hotmail account gets hacked....

Better tell that to the people it's happened to Swinger.

It's dangerous to make comments like that when you dont know the facts swinger. somone might believe you and and up in trouble as a result.
