Who ever says the hills have eyes get a slap. I saw it with my brother, i was shitting it cos im not a fan of scary films, and i sat there laughing the whole way through!

hostel was the worst film ive ever seen, it relied more on boobs and the "boo!" factor than anything else, tarantino should be slapped for ever putting his name on it.

Prepare to never live your life in quite the same way, or be the person you were before you watched this film ever again.
Edit: Any of Darren Aronofskys' films are generally very, very disturbing. Not in a generic sense though, you'll know what I mean when you watch a few.

all new horrors suck, the happening is SHIT and not at all scary, the mist is jsut fucked up especially at the end, hostels not really a horror is more mutialtion for fun. requiem for a dream is a BRILLIANT film but id never put it as a horror film, just seariously fucked up. The original chainsaw massacre is still to this day verrrrrrrrry scary.

It depends what you define as horror. If you want to jump out your seat and then laugh about it five minutes later, then look for slashers and some zombie films. If you class being genrally disturbed and extremely uncomortable as a horror experience then yes Reqium For A Dream is a horror film. Films like Rec, what terrifies me is the hopelessness and human abandonment - not the zombies or blood.
Retro asked for scary films. Myself, anything that makes me feel really uncomfortable and disturbed I class as horror experience.
