I used to be able to run around in developer 1 with fps_max 999 with a steady 300+ fps..
Now, with developer 1 and fps_max 999 its around.. 150.
I cant record a demo because it lags...
Just pissing me off. Ive tried EVERYTHING, from reformating, different drivers... i have minimum applictions on my system.
Ive reinstalled steam, cs and half life... i dont have vsync or any other graphics improvements such as AA or AF..
PC is defragmented, has no viruses or spyware... registry is clean.
Windows interface set to performance...
msconfig minimum loading applications...
etcetc

how olds the PC though?
Like a car, the more "mileage" you get out of the PC the poorer it will perform and the more you'll need to replace parts. Not the perfect analogy, but its quite fitting.

hmmm seanybabes i disagree with that statement..My bro has a PC that he has had for 5-6 years, and he has never formatted or anything, hes got millions of programs and variois PCI cards installed, and yes its slow because its out of date, but it just keeps working nonstop lol.

Should try "Ramdisk 9" Runs cs1.6 on a virtual hardrive made from the RAM.. I'm not sure how much RAM you've got but recording demo's could be tricky with that.
