SGLAC Updated to 1.5.4

Posted by uk Jimbo on 26th Mar 2008 @ 9:12am
Today sees a few minor updates to SGLAC, continuing our commitment to keeping league games secure and cheat free.  We have added a new option to save screenshots as JPEGs.  If you notice a "lag" when a screenshot is taken this may improve performance.  Simply check the "Save screenshots in alternative format" box on the options tab to enable it.

We have also replaced the console with a new simplified status overview.  This should make SGLAC less confusing for new users. However, it is still possible to toggle between the old style console and the new overview by clicking the "Show/hide console" button.

Your SGLAC will update automatically next time you start it.  Alternatively you can click on "Check for updates" on the updates tab within SGLAC or manually download it here.

Changelog for 1.5.4

  • Added new status overview.
  • Added option to save screenshots in JPEG format (can help perfomance for some users)
  • Added new icon.
  • Fixed bug where screenshots could be taken if a user wasnt logged in.
  • Fixed bug where SGLAC would crash on login.
  • Performance improvements.

As ever, if you have any problems please report them in the anti-cheat forums.

Oobie, it saves them in bmp if you dont check the box (as it always has done for the past 2/3 years). Its a toss up you see. If you save them as JPEG it takes more processor time to compress them but less time to save them to disk (as the filesize is smaller). Bitmaps dont get compressed so no extra processor time is taken up but the resulting file is a lot larger and takes more time to write to disk.

Play around with the setting (you can even change it mid-game if you like) and see which suits you better.

#20 | uk Jimbo | Posted on 27/03/08 10:30am
yeah NOD32 always gives out trojan errors cos its a pile of shit.
#21 | 00 Klek | Posted on 27/03/08 12:38pm
You think every AV is a pile of shit, just because you use some public packer, which script kiddies use to pack their DDoS bots, doesn't mean AV's shouldnt detect it, why should AV's work harder to unpack the applications just to see what it is, when it's only script kiddies what use Themida?

If somebody wanted to reverse your anticheat, it wouldn't even matter if you packed with Themida or not, it would still get done.

It's a good job AV's detect it you could add a little trojan into your AV if you wanted, and none of these idiots on the site would have a clue, not saying you would but you COULD.

AVG are idiot's for allowing it not to be detected, I doubt they have even scanned/checked the application probably for sploits to the computer.
