With Buu off this weekend, he was unable to do the write ups so your stuck with me for both SGLPRO write ups. Buu should be back next week though!
SGLPRO1
Last week Engine on mute got the one default of the week, due to their being a missing team in the league, so they got a rest to recover for even longer from their beating in week 2.
Coda took a close win against Catalyst, something buu failed to predict, with his prediction suggesting a uber easy roll over of Catalyst. Dolphinian of coda took man of the match with a kill/death ratio of 2.15 and 2653 points. Failure of the match went to eNtex of Catalyst who only knocked up 593 points, dieing 24 times and only getting 7 kills.
Team Coolermaster added an extra win to their points when they beat inyourmind 16-8. Buu had predicted a much more one sided result, but that turned out to be untrue. ZaK was man of the match with Talz, who was supposed to be the player to watch last week 4th on their team. ColdAsIce was the failure, with 1026 points. That is atleast double eNtex from Catalyst still!
With last week’s results Team Coolermaster take top spot and make a 3 point gap between them and Coda who sit in second place. Coda won’t be able to take them points off coolermaster either, as they lost to them in week 3, so they will have to help for another clan to have good fortune. Inyourmind sit bottom of the table, if coolermaster get just a single point this week, they are out of any chances of coming top, but they could potentially get into the playoffs if their lucky.
With Team Acuity getting the default this week, the rest of the games are as follows
With both teams sitting right next to each other in the table, this game is an important one. The loser will find it hard to make up the points to compete at the top for the last place in the playoffs. The Icelandic team have tried their hardest to make an impact, however they have failed to really get the points. They have had two very close games where they have lost, but managed to steal a win against Team Acuity in the first week. Czar have a game in hand over Catalyst at the moment, due to their first game being moved to the end of the season. Even so the games they have played have been closer.
Its always hard to say what way the games will go when its de_inferno with the one sided nature of the map, but in my opinion cZar will be taking this match, but Catalyst will fight to the end. 16-13 to cZar, man of the match being: Evil ScotsmaN, he has managed to perform well in all the games hes played for them so far, so why not do it again?
Inyyourmind are right at the bottom of the table only gaining points so far from a default due to their being a team missing from the league. Coda however are second in the table and are looking to take one of the four playoff positions. Inyourmind will really be needing a win here, and a big one at that. The round difference may be the only thing to stop them going through if they do get the points they need. With only 2 games left after this one they need to be getting a win here to help set them up for the final games. However I really can’t see them beating Coda. Coda have managed two very close games against cZar and Catalyst where they won both, but lost out to team coolermaster. They won’t be down hearted they, they want to confirm their place in the playoff’s asap, and winning here will take them 1 step closer to their goal!
Coda to win 16-8. Dajo shall be my play to watch, seen as he has slowly been working his way up the skilltracker each week. Maybe this week will be his week!
Coolermaster and sitting top of the league unbeaten in all 4 games played. With form like that they can afford to slip up over the next few weeks, but doing so could cost them the title. Once you have the steam moving nicely, you don’t want to stop it or you’ll only get burnt. Engine on Mute sit mid table on 6 points, half of what coolermaster have. They are right in the middle of the fight for 2 of the play off places, presuming coda and coolermaster are granted the first 2. EOM need the points to help them confirm their place to play out for the money.
Coolermaster to take the win 16-9, I’m putting my money on zaK being the best player this week.
