ESWC Trackmania Nations

  With the ESWC UK event "just around the corner" and the ESWC World Finals taking place in San Jose, Calafornia in August this year the time seems right to tart getting in the spirit of things - and what better way than with the ESWC's very own title Trackmania Nations ESWC.

The CS1.6 event will always grab the limelight for most of the users on this site but for the same users the prospect of qualifying at our beloved game is perhaps a long shot to say the least. If you don't posses the "fatal1ty" esque reactions you need to make it in the Quake discipline and Warcraft isn't your thing then do not despair as Trackmania Nations ESWC gives you another opportunity to book your place to the USA later this year......

The ESWC United Kingdom qualifiers for Trackmania Nations will be coming very soon to theSGL and you'll have your chance to show your silky driving skills around the official ESWC sanctioned tracks and just maybe prove to be the best driver and book your berth to the West coast of the USA in August.

In preparation for this event we invite you to get stuck into the game now and get those skills polished up in preparation of the event. First off Trackmania Nations ESWC is a FREE game and available to download right now. Secondly TMN runs on pretty much any PC you cacre to name. If you can run 1.6 you can run TMN and the graphics settings scale from high fps low spec pc settings up to mega anti aliased super high res for you power users out there.

Whilst there are thousands of great custom tracks out there - you will be most interested in the official qualifying tracks and will gain the most by practising those in particular. There is a list of tracks available for download along with the game itself and some info on a couple of issues which may manifest themselves.

On to the competition. Early next week the official theSGL TMN server will be coming back online running the ESWC competition maps in rotation. For one week after that we will be running an event looking for the fastest laps in a knockout basis. The winner of this event will receive a shiny new top of the range - SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse for their efforts - so don't be slow in getting your practice in - download the files now and get behind the wheel.

An announcement regarding the ESWC UK Qualifiers and Finals event will be made shortly with all the details you need. Until then, put your foot down and enjoy the ride!

heh, im ranked #1 in the UK offline and top 100 in the UK online, can't wait for this Smile, came 2nd last year and from what ive seen dignitas.r2k isn't entering this year so im in it to win it Big grin.
