TMNF : SGL GP Results

  Tonights inaugural Trackmania Nations Grand Prix was damn good fun and saw players both old and new - fast and not take to the server and get stuck in. To give you some idea of what went on this is going to be a results page - since none of the systems in the website handle the format very well it's going to be a custom job so bear with me as this will probably end up as my template for forthcoming TMNF Grand Prix events...

The players were awarded points for finishing in first (10pts) through to 8th place (1pt). Points weere scored on each of five tracks. For this event the maps used were the ESWC Masters of Paris (1-5) pack. After five tracks each of ten minutes duration were played the final table looked like this :

After the main group stage cptsuicide and ernie departed to watch the KOTH match and CF^ was there for promoted to 4th place for the four player play off. The play off was based around a Rounds based system. This means that single races are held over one lap. The winner of each lap gets 10 points. then 6 then 4 then 2 points. The laps are repeated until one players scores a set amount (in this case 32 or more). When this has been achieved the next track is loaded. This continues for three tracks at the end of which the player with the most points over the the three tracks wins outright.
